Open Water Course – Academics & Pool
The first weekend of Open Water training starts @ 10am at the dive shop. Students will complete a quick review and assemble their scuba kits. First pool session starts at 1pm. Here you will learn the 56 skills required for diving. Second pool session starts at 9am on Sunday.

It's a great way to expand skills and knowledge beyond the Open Water Diver Course.

Open Water Course – Open Water Dives
The Open Water Dives are the final step in the Open Water Diver Course and are designed to give students the opportunity to apply the skills they learned in the pool and academics portion of the course. Under the guidance of a certified instructor, students will perform a series of dives in open water to a maximum depth of 60ft. During the dives, students will demonstrate mastery of skills such as buoyancy control, underwater navigation, and emergency procedures. The open water dives provide students with valuable experience and a sense of accomplishment as they become certified divers.

Rescue Diver Course - Scenarios
The Rescue Diver Open Water Scenarios are designed to simulate real-life diving emergencies and to challenge students to apply their rescue skills in an open water environment. Under the guidance of a certified instructor, students will participate in a series of scenarios that involve responding to simulated emergencies, such as a diver in distress or a missing diver. During these scenarios, students will practice skills such as search and recovery, providing rescue breaths, and managing a panicked or unresponsive diver. The Rescue Diver Open Water Scenarios are an essential component of the course, providing students with the confidence and skills needed to respond to emergencies in a safe and effective manner.

The pool and academics portion of the Rescue Diver Course is designed to teach divers how to prevent and manage diving emergencies. In the classroom, students learn diving theory, including dive accident prevention and management, and how to recognize and respond to various types of diving emergencies. In the pool, students practice rescue skills, such as providing oxygen to an unresponsive diver and performing search patterns. This portion of the course teaches students how to be prepared to respond to emergencies and how to handle them confidently and competently. Students must pass a written exam and demonstrate mastery of skills to progress to the open water dives.
